Our dear friend and road dog, Max has put together a beautiful zine about touring with the bridge. Please check it out here. Order one for yourself and share it with a friend. Lots of other goodies available too.
Oh...also, recordings are still in process. We've been busy with lots of good things and also dealing with tragedies. Don't stay up waiting for the new jams. They'll be here when it is their time.
The lumbering beast that is Landbridge has been taking it real easy. We are almost halfway through the year and have only played a couple shows. It has been nice to just focus on our own lives, personal health and relationships. However, we finally can say that recording starts next week. We are doing it ourselves and of course we will be taking things slow and easy. Expect heaviness.
Also, on the 11th of July, we are playing a mountain getaway fest in Asheville, NC. This will be a much needed journey out of our humid home and we are looking forward to the great embrace of long lost friends and family that awaits.
Wow! It has been quite some time since an update. I'm getting very sick of staring at computer screens these days(I'll try to keep this short...)
West Coast Tour was great! Massive thanks to the folks who held it down for us. Not gonna make a list this time...you know who you are. Sorry I'm not sorry.
What's next: We have all the music for our full length written and ready to go to the studio. I actually think this is happening this winter. We definitely won't tour until that is accomplished. Also, we will be recording an extra song for a split 7" with the Autarch beast! <3 These might be the final recording projects that we do. After that, we will focus on touring only until it is time to call it quits. I don't think that will be anytime soon though. :)
Our fall tour is starting to take form. The official dates are up. Some cities are subject to change, but for the most part the route is pretty solid. There are some towns that we need help with. Of course, feel free to email us if you'd like to help set something up. email@example.com
Hey punks! We have formed a tentative plan for tour this fall. The dates are on our "tours" page. These are subject to change of course. We haven't even begun to book shows yet, but I figured we would put the rough idea out there. Feel free to hit us up if you'd like to help book a show or just rage with us. More details will come soon...
In other news, we have decided to postpone LP plans a little longer. Instead, we will be recording a behemoth of a song for a split 7" with our best friends, Autarch. That should be available for our tour in August. We will probably record the LP before that and hopefully put together a tour cassette of those songs.
We kicked off 2014 with a rager of a show. Rubrics, I'm an Intestine and a surprise set by Crowd Bites Wolf all destroyed Waldo farm. Since then the bridge went back into hiding until last week. We finally had a practice and have begun to develop plans for another productive year.
If we can wrap up a couple more songs and get into the studio we will have an LP by late summer. This has been a goal of ours for some time now. We have no excuse. Also, we'll be announcing some big tour plans for august and beyond soon.
Until then...here is a video of us lobotomizing Miami...
After spending countless hours on computers during the months before tour, I have wanted to stay as far away from them as possible. I realized today that it has been about a month since our European tour came to an end. I guess it is never too late to say that this experience was hands down the most amazing time we have had as a band. I kept trying to keep some sort of tour journal that I could have posted, but there was never a spare minute.
I can't believe I'm actually going to attempt this but...
We would love to thank everybody who came out to our shows. The punks in Munster Braunschweig, Berlin, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Olomouc, Burglengenfeld, Innsbruck, Bremgarten, Biel, and Frankfurt are some of the greatest people on earth. Hendrik, Lars, Sabine, Jan, Else and all the Munster badasses. Felix and Nils from Nexus(the best sounding venue we've ever played). Max and Scherer 8. Blum and Hana. Sara and Massimo. Laura, Dorig, Matthew and KuZeb. Ruben and Schrottbar(Punk City)!!! Sif and Exzess. There are a few other names that I have forgotten. I'm sure we will meet again when we return. We'd also love to thank some of the amazing bands that we had the pleasure to meet and watch play like, Resurrectionists, Henry Fonda, Republic of Dreams(this time in your neck of the woods), La Casa Fantom(holy shit!!! Yes!!!), Face the Threat, Pyramido(Sweeeethearts), Derbe Lebowski and last but not least, the almighty Kyrest!!! Kyrest are some of the greatest people we have had the privilege of meeting and they shred too! We played six shows together in Germany, Poland and Czech Republic. Our hearts were broken the night we had to say goodbye. I think that tour is one giant heartbreak. There are so many beautiful people that we meet. Old and new friends make our lives so bright every night and every morning we have to live with the sadness of distance between us and the ones we fall in love with. One last thanks goes out to the dirtiest boyz in the world. Ed and Max. You made this the best tour yet. We were never short on laughs and high spirits and I hope that we can do this again with you. Best roadies/drivers/friends any band could ever have!!!
Here is a video of two new songs.(Exzess Frankfurt, D)
There is so much more to add to this but I hate being on these computers. I will try to wrap things up. We are playing 305 Fest in late December. We are playing with Rubrics(SC) in Waldo on the first of January. Besides that, things are going to be quiet for a while, but hopefully not too long. We are about halfway done with writing for an LP. We have some other plans in the works for 2014 but we will talk about that later.
